Location and Activities Situated in the centre of the Sierras Subbéticas Nature Reserve, at the foot of the Sierra Horconera mountains -home to Cordoba province´s highest peak: La Tiñosa, reaching some 1,500 metres above sea level. The route up to Puerto del Cerezo mountain pass starts barely 100 metres from the house -it is an ideal place to go hiking. The complex relationship between water and rock in this Reserve gives rise to an interesting, unusual limestone relief. 6 kilometres away is the town of Priego de Córdoba, the prime exponent of Baroque art in Andalusia. Fishing, kayaking and sailing are available 30 kilometres away, It is very close to then town of Rute, with its anisette and olive oil museums, and its donkey reserve. A few kilometres away is the Zagrilla Tourism Complex, where you can hire horses and take riding classes. Four privincial capitals of Andalusia are an hour away by car: Malaga, Jaen, Granada and Cordoba. |
